漢語裏，“馬後炮”源出象碁——“馬”後面减一顆“炮”，將對方的“軍”，俄文翻譯，“馬後炮”一出，對圆便逝世碁了——常用來喻指“事後才發表‘实知灼見’”。英語中，短語“Monday-morning quarterback”也可表達雷同的意义。
